Upcoming Changes to Online Banking Security
We are bringing even stronger safeguards to your Online Banking in the coming weeks. When this security enhancement is complete, you will be prompted to take two quick steps:
- Ensure your login is strong - After you log in as you normally do, the system will review the strength of your Login ID and password. If your current login does not meet the upgraded security requirements, you will be asked to create a new Login ID and/or password.
- Obtain an access code - You will be asked to provide a phone number where you can immediately receive an access code via text and/or automated message. A new access code will be required each time you log in on a computer or mobile device not recognized by the system.
We are pleased to deliver this security upgrade to make it even safer for you to manage your money online.

Recent Telephone Scam - August 2012
If you have recently received a telephone call on either your home phone or cell phone which was an automated message alerting you that your debit card has been compromised - this call was not from Athol Savings Bank. This is a wide-spread scam, and consumers have been tricked into entering their debit card number and expiration date into the phone's key pad.
We will never generate a telephone call to you and then ask you to disclose your financial or personal information. If you feel you have been a victim of this scam, please contact ASB immediately at 978-249-3200 or toll free at 888-830-3200 so that we may order a new debit card for you.
