Athol Savings Bank Celebrates 150 years!
February 12, 2017 marked the 150th anniversary of Athol Savings Bank. This is a milestone that very few companies surpass, much less a small mutual savings bank that contends with the "big banks." Our niche is our strong tie to the communities in which we serve, and we will never waver from our core belief that our customers, and the dedication of our staff, are the two major ingredients that are woven into the fabric of our 150 years of history.
Athol Savings Bank chose to dedicate the year 2017 as our year of giving back to others. Employees have been busy performing random acts of kindness and gratitude to residents throughout our branch communities, and with the holidays upon us, we look forward to continued events throughout the season.

ASB Gives Back to the Community...
ASB employees donated a box of children's books to the Athol Memorial Hospital ER Department
ASB donated children's games to Valuing Our Children
The Main Office Service Center donated boots, hats and mittens for our upcoming coat drive
The Uptown Branch delivered many needed cat/dog items to a local animal shelter
The Uptown Branch is making sure our community stays warm this winter by donating hats and mittens to anyone who needs them
The Baldwinville Branch recognized the EMS services in Templeton by delivering pizza and beverages to the Police, Fire and 911 dispatchers
The Baldwinville Branch makes a donation to a local food pantry
ASB employees delivered lunch to the Winchendon Fire Department
The Ashburnham Branch delivered many items to a local food pantry
The Gardner Branch employees donated items to a local animal shelter
The Barre Branch delivered a truck load of fresh mums to various homes to celebrate fall
The Barre Branch made a donation to a local oil company to help someone in need of oil this winter
ASB donated a tote full of items to the local animal rescue
ASB employees purchased ride tickets at Athol's Summer Festival and handed them out to children to receive free carnival rides
ASB employees purchased school supplies for a college student

Winchendon employees delivered ice cold drinks to the Winchendon DPW on a hot summer day
ASB employees donated items that were given out as prizes to the top summer readers in the Athol Library Summer Reading Program
ASB employees donated several containers of laundry detergent to the owners of a local laundromat for anyone in need
ASB employees donated a golf putting game to the Quabbin's Adult Day Health Services
Several ASB employees surprised a few customers by purchasing their groceries prior to the July 4th Holiday
